LEVEL will present this new work by artist Will Hurt and Level Director, Andrew Williams will lead a break out session looking to explore way of working and new potential tools using interactive digital technology.
Some Information about the conference, which is being organised by Richard Hayhow, can be found below or visit the website: http://www.itati.co.uk/
Is that All there Is?
Just think. In Birmingham alone there are
7,000 young people with learning disabilities. Extrapolate that to the
West Midlands, and then to the whole of England. Individual arts
organisations who specialise in work with ypwld can only hope to scratch
the surface…but imagine if the whole sector came together to offer quality, boundary-breaking work for ypwld. Just think what an impact we would have.
Is That All There Is? is a timely provocation to reconsider our arts provision for young people with learning disabilities.
Over two days you will:
- Learn with experienced practitioners
- Be inspired by leading creative practice in this field
- Find confidence to develop quality, boundary-breaking art in a range of ways with young people with all kinds of learning disability
- Have a safe space to honestly articulate your concerns, views and feelings
- Have time and space to work out a response and action plan to develop your organisation’s practice with ypwld
- Explore possibilities for future collaborations with other organisations and artists
- Find a network and support, with guidance on funding
ITATI is accompanied by the CanCanCan Festival, a micro-festival of solo performance work by ypwld.
